College Essay Dos & Donâts We offer exactly the same major subjects, and the same quality, as a four-year university or career preparation school, but for far less money. While enrolled at CLC, you could be admitted to one of our local, regional or international partner institutions by meeting program requirements. They tell us that our faculty are terrific teachers, not just experts in their fields. And our students also rave about the many opportunities to become involved on campus. For the ninth year in a row, NVCC has awarded over 1,000 associate degrees and certificates. The highest amount out of all Connecticut's community colleges. Once youâve settled on a selection, itâs time to take note of any and all application deadlines and get organized so you can hit the ground running by the time fall rolls around. Also, be sure to give them a personal resume or list of accomplishments, both in and out of school. Students admitted to UCI excel in their college preparatory courses and will graduate in the upper tenth of their high school senior class. These scholarly achievements are hallmark traits of most Anteaters. Having good grades and high college entrance exam scores matter. But theyâre not the only things we take into consideration when reviewing your application. Students will not be at a disadvantage should they not submit a test score. This modification to the test requirement is not intended as an admissions policy shift but is rather a temporary accommodation driven by the current extraordinary circumstances. Half of UCIâs students complete their requirements and graduate in four years or less. Your personal insight questions provide context for the rest of your application. We consider all information provided in your application, including your answers to the personal insight questions. Transferable courses taken at a community college are awarded extra grade points in the admission process, just as Advanced Placement and certified honors courses are. However, the university limits the number of honors-level courses you can accrue to eight semesters. In addition to the extra grade points earned, units from transferable community college courses are applied toward your UCI degree. Students are not precluded from taking standardized tests and sending scores if they are able. Doing so can support their statewide UC eligibility, application for certain scholarships, and help them fulfill some University graduation requirements. The enrollment of the center includes children of staff, faculty, students and the local community. Unofficial transcripts is a record of college classes taken including grades received. The document can be produced by the college or student, but does not have a raised college seal. It may also be a transcript that bears the official seal, but is not in the original sealed envelope. Also note that AP exam scores will not be accepted via high school or college transcripts. If you do not have a high school diploma, the university will accept the GED certificate in place of a diploma. However, you must still meet the Subject, Scholarship, and Examination requirements. The college pathway includes any institution of higher education that awards a degree or credential post-high school graduation. received a school readiness grant from the state of Connecticut, expanding itâs role in the community through collaboration with the Waterbury School System. There are currently 20 full-time slots and two part-time slots designated under the umbrella of Waterbury School Readiness.
