The Attack On Pearl Harbor - 1420 Words
Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941 the Imperial Japanese Navy did an aerial surprise attack on Pearl Harbor the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, in the U. S Territory of Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941. This air attack was simultaneous 353 Japanese fighter planes, bombers, and torpedo planes in two waves. Flew low and swiftly threw the harbor The direct result was more than 2,400 American servicemen were killed and over a 1,000 wounded the direct actions of this event lead the U.S. into WWII. The following day president Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan. ââ¬Å"A date that will live in infamyâ⬠This was a day that our country wishes to never live again. The attack happened in Hawaii at the Naval Military base.
